This is a very good start on a fine little cozy series, and each book had become more engaging than the previous one--which is rare in this genre! I'd actually rate it 3.5 stars, since it figured somewhat above being the average good cozy ranking of a straight 3-star cozy. Half-stars not being an option here, I'd rounded up, simply because I'd enjoyed how well they were written, and am more likely than not to read more of the series at some point. I'd been impressed with the author's craft in constructing a mystery, with how the characters had evolved with each book, and that even the cat character had been depicted more realistically than commonly is to be found in this genre or in others. While the protagonist is drawn as being, perhaps under 30, and might appeal to younger adult readers for that reason, this series can appeal to readers of any age. Geriatric characters are employed as a humorous element in the books, and often viewed much as a younger protagonist naturally would tend to view those of advanced years as "old biddies," but they are also depicted as wily, competent, and capable women in many respects also, particularly as the books progress. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this series to anyone of any age who enjoys cozy mysteries, and plan to keep track of this author too, because I strongly suspect she will enjoy a lengthy and wildly successful writing career!

These are good read mysteries with good characters. Take place in Oxford, England so British slant to things. Even have a glossary in the back of some British terms makes kind of fun. Easy to understand in context what they mean without going to the glossary. I usually read gory murder mysteries and these were a pleasant break from those.

Mysteries in the Oxford area. Gemma returns to England after living and working in Australiafor 8 years. She follows her dream to open a tea house. Murders happen. Two men, a detectiveand a doctor, vie for her attention. A cute, smart little cat, Muesli, becomes her helpful sidekick.Nice Series

Excellent read. I loved this story line. So easy to love the odd characters. I felt like I was in this young ladies journey home to begin a dream come true. The mysteries are sure to stump you. You will not be disappointed in choosing this collection.

Fun, easy mystery read. Interesting characters & descriptions of Oxford area. Did find some of the background information a bit repetitive but may be useful for those readers not starting with the beginning book in the series

These books are well written although the character's plots are a bit repetitious, o r can I say Hallmark-ish. I do like the plots, so I will continue to follow Gemma Rose , st al

Loved the story. Especially the inclusion of the cat. Liked the setting and the characters fit in just right. They provided the perfect mental pictures and you progressed through the story.

I was quite pleasantly surprised by these stories. I found them amusing with a bit of romance and surprising twists to the stories, well done.
